A scheduled Rowden Yeomanson walk costs £12 for adults and £9 for concessions (Students, unwaged, over 65’s, child (aged 6-15 who must be accompanied by an adult). We run some walks in conjunction with the City of London Guides which are stipulated below and cost £7 for adults and £6 for concessions.

Any walk with an Eventbrite link MUST be pre-booked in advance (or at minimum you must contact us to let us know you’re coming) as there is no guarantee that a walk will run if no-one books. Any walk run with the City of London Guides is a simple turn up at the meeting point and meet the guide there.

Sunday 10th November: World War 1 in the City of London: Commemoration & Celebration

1918 saw the guns fall silent to signify the end of “the war to end all wars” as Britain and her allies defeated Germany and their allies. The City of London played a pivotal role in the war effort from the raising of batallions to the efforts of a young VC winner and many other fascinating characters.

This walk commemorates the people, soldiers and exploits of those from the City of London and will introduce you to some of their stories as we see how the City dealt with loss, tragedy and the aftermath of World War 1.
